We are honored to be a provider of high-quality, all-inclusive accommodations for clients attending the PCS intensive program. The PCS intensive is a 1-2 week program for individuals experiencing a crisis in their life, feel stuck in their current therapy, desire to move more quickly through their issues, or are simply impatient with one to two hours a week of therapy. With a staff of over 25 therapists, a PCS Intensive can address compulsive and addictive behavior (chemical, sexual, gambling, food, etc.), prior traumas (sexual, physical, emotional), relationship difficulties (communication, sexual, conflict, etc.), and mood disorders. We have a long standing relationship with PCS and our staff is very experienced with the unique needs of clients attending the PCS intensive.
Who We Are:
Our homes are gender-specific communities of men and women bonded together by their shared journey through recovery. Our program utilizes a social model with an emphasis on self-care and physical wellness which we have found to be most advantageous to fulfilling, successful long-term recovery. Our hands-on leadership team and full-time housing staff is dedicated to providing high levels of accountability, support and daily structure to empower our clients in their transition back into independent living. Camelback Recovery specializes in supportive housing for clients in early recovery from alcohol and substance dependence disorders as well as trauma and stressor-related disorders, depressive and anxiety disorders, eating disorders and process addictions. Having an alcohol or substance abuse history is not a requirement to stay in our home, however total abstinence from all mind-altering substances is.
All of our homes are open to PCS clients however, the two homes closest to PCS are Sojourn Men’s Community and Arcadia House. We have dedicated PCS rooms at both of these homes. For pricing and availability, call 602-466-9880 extension 2.

What It’s Like:
Most PCS clients arrive Saturday morning to be greeted by our house manager and drop off their bags before taking an Uber/Lyft to PCS to begin their week. The PCS intensive is one to two weeks so most PCS clients depart the following Saturday morning or next. We can often accommodate a Friday check-in or Sunday check-out depending on availability. Your stay with us will be tailored to suit your needs. This means our house managers are comfortable holding your electronics at night, not giving you access to wifi or adjusting curfew if requested. This also means we will wait to prepare dinner later so you can eat with the whole community after group. We have private and shared suites available to allow you to process the work you are doing without being completely isolated. We can’t emphasize enough how helpful our clients find our supportive community during their stay with us. Here are some testimonials from recent PCS clients:
“I was concerned about the environment as I never stayed in a sober living home before. The living conditions were excellent. Although I was there for only a week doing an IOP with PCS, the house manager was a huge help in making me feel welcomed, comfortable and went out of his way to make sure my stay was first class.“ – Doug P.
“It was such a welcoming environment!! I’m so thankful for the house manager being there to talk to and support me and the other girls for their acceptance and welcoming me into the house immediately. I felt so supported by them!” – Caroline S.
“If you are attending the PCS IOP, I think this is the perfect fit. I felt really comfortable, at home and nurtured at Sojourn. I have the best of memories of everybody there, all doing their work, with a real sense of camaraderie.” – Anonymous
“Good meals meant a ton. Staff was a huge help navigating the first few days. Perfect scenario.” – Anonymous
“It was good experience and I’m happy I stayed there! The guys living there were awesome and helpful!” – Anonymous
“My fellow addicts staying at Sojourn welcomed me like a brother and I felt immediate connection and acceptance. My time at Sojourn House has been very special and has helped me tremendously in my recovery. I will bring the tools and wisdom from staff and the men here with me as invaluable tools in my recovery.” – Anonymous
“It was a safe and supportive environment and I’m happy I wasn’t alone in my recovery.” – Anonymous
“Staff was very kind and accommodating. Comfortable space and plenty of it for recovery work and reflection. The other residents were very welcoming and encouraging.” – Anonymous
“I couldn’t imagine my therapy experience being better if I hadn’t of stayed here. I’d say it’s essential if you want the most out of your recovery process.” – Anonymous
“So much better than staying alone at hotel. The ladies were so supportive and kind.” – Heidi B.
“Great experience. Between the staff and the other people staying in the house, created a real recovery atmosphere that reduced isolation by quite a bit. Staff was awesome. The other guys were good too, checked in on me. Together with the guys in the house made a recovery-central, almost family-like atmosphere.” – Anonymous
“I cannot say enough about how glad I was I stayed with you. The safety of coming back to a group of guys who were on the road to recovery was so helpful. I was so impressed with the staff’s hospitality, kindness, and good cooking. It really felt like a home away from home. I also made this very clear on my PCS out-processing so that they will continue to recommend their intensive clients to you. Thank you for helping make this past week such a healing one for me!” – Brad F.
