How Admission Works

Starting treatment can feel like a lot to organize. Our admissions team walks you through each step so you can focus on getting well.

  1. Talk with admissions

Call or send the form. An admissions specialist asks about substance use, mental health, medical needs and past treatment to understand what kind of care fits.

  2. Check coverage and choose a program

We verify your insurance benefits, explain any costs and recommend a level of care, from residential treatment to outpatient programs.

  3. Plan your arrival

We set an admission date, answer your questions about the first day and help coordinate travel if you are coming from out of state.

Programs You Can Start With

Most clients begin in residential treatment and step down with the same clinical team. Others start in a day or outpatient program. Admissions will help you find the right starting point.

What Clients Say

From the moment I arrived, I felt supported, understood, and cared for by an incredible team of staff who truly went above and beyond. Everyone was compassionate, patient, encouraging, and genuinely invested in helping each person succeed.

What really stood out to me was that the program focused on healing as a whole not just mental health or recovery, but creating a healthy lifestyle. We were encouraged to build healthy routines, take care of our bodies, eat healthy meals, develop better coping skills, become more mindful, and create habits that we could continue after leaving treatment. The combination of structure, therapy, education, wellness, healthy eating and community made such a difference in my life. Extremely grateful I went and put in the work to better my life. I would highly recommend this place to anyone I know.

Admissions FAQs

Is there a cost to talk with admissions?

No. Calls with our admissions team and insurance checks cost nothing and do not commit you to treatment.

How quickly can I start treatment?

It depends on your clinical needs, your insurance and bed availability. Our admissions team will give you a clear timeline during your first call.

What happens during the first call?

An admissions specialist asks about current substance use, mental health, medical history and past treatment, then explains which programs fit and what happens next. The call is confidential.

Do you accept my insurance?

We work with most major commercial insurance plans. Coverage depends on your plan, so we verify your benefits before admission. Camelback Recovery does not accept Medicare or Medicaid (AHCCCS).

Can I call on behalf of a family member?

Yes. You can call or send the form for someone you love, and we will talk through how to approach the next steps together.

Do you help clients coming from out of state?

Yes. Our admissions team checks out-of-state insurance plans and helps coordinate travel once you are ready to admit.

Can I tour before admitting?

Yes. Tours are available by appointment, and you can watch a video tour of the residence on our Peoria page.
