I Love Being Sober |Troy Casey | Five-Day Hangover

He was a Versace model living at the Clevelander on Ocean Drive, drinking fifty drinks a day for free because his friends tended bar, and getting handed cocaine because the dealers knew he knew everybody. He worked five times a year. The rest of the time was idle.

Then the hangovers started lasting five days.

Troy Casey — The Certified Health Nut — grew up a ward of the state, started drinking and smoking weed at thirteen, and spent four and a half years cycling in and out of sobriety before it finally held in 1999. What made it hold was not a program. It was an hour on a cushion the morning after a fight, and then, two weeks later, ten days of silence at a Vipassana retreat.

Thirty-five years into holistic health, his position in the wellness industry is not what you would expect from someone who looks like he does: the things that actually move the needle are mostly free. Sleep. Sunlight. Walking. Water. Breathing through your nose. He is blunt about the rest of it — peptides, Ozempic, TRT, the twenty-supplement stack — and blunt about why a person in recovery in particular should be careful with all of it.

Recorded live in front of our clients and staff at Camelback Recovery in Phoenix. The room does a breathing exercise together at 42:30 that is worth doing along with them.

What we get into:

  • the fashion industry’s open bar and what it did to a young man with no supervision
  • why he calls the friends who told him he was wasting his potential “love incarnate”
  • the four and a half years of relapse before it stuck
  • what ten days of silence actually does
  • the nine pillars, and how to shrink them to three when you are thirty days sober
  • why he thinks biohacking can become the same disease in a lab coat
  • the seven factors of stress
  • how to breathe like your nervous system depends on it, because it does.

From Five-Day Hangovers To Lasting Sobriety

Troy Casey was shooting Versace campaigns and drinking fifty drinks a day. Nobody intervened. He came to our outpatient center to explain what finally got his attention, and why the things that fixed him were free.

From High Fashion To Holistic Health: Troy Casey’s Story

My guest is Troy Casey. Most people know him as the Certified Health Nut. Thirty-five years in holistic health, author of a book called Ripped at 50, a guy who went from modeling for Versace in Milan to living with indigenous tribes in the Amazon as a medicine hunter. Here’s why he’s here. Troy is not a biohacker, and he will tell you that himself.

He has spent a career watching people chase the next supplement, the next protocol, and the next gadget, and he keeps pointing them back to nine things that are mostly free such as breath, thought, relationship, water, nature, food, movement, rest, and legacy. Here’s the part that matters for this room. Putting the substance down is one thing. Rebuilding the body and the mind after years of running them into the ground is a different thing. That’s what this episode is about.

‐‐‐

Troy, welcome back to the show.

Thanks for having me. It’s good to be here. It’s good to be seen.

I had you on the show in 2021. I don’t know if you remember that. It was when I did them virtually. It was a great show. I’m happy. I see you around. We run in the same circle.

Didn’t we see each other at the Rolling Stones?

Did we?

I was there.

We did. I did see you there. I saw you at Breakthrough in the Desert. I saw you at Jungle Rhythms. I see you around, and you do that meditation every Sunday at 8:00 AM.

At Optimized North Phoenix.

I’ll be there one of these days. You went from Versace runways in Milan to living with tribes in the Amazon. Most people do not make that turn. What was going on in your life that sent you looking? Do you want to talk a little bit about how you ended up in Milan, a little bit about your Versace background, what happened there, and what life was like?

I was a young man. You could say that I didn’t know who I was. I was in college. I grew up on the street, so I was a ward of the state. I ended up getting Pell grants and other subsidies to put me through college. I didn’t do all my Math in high school, so I had to do a lot of Math when I was in college. I spent three years at the community college level, getting grants to go to school. I was getting paid to go to school.

I didn’t necessarily know who I was. I’m trying to figure it out like anybody else. You chase paper. I was like, “I want to get paid. Science and math can take you into higher-paying jobs. That sounds good. Let me go in that direction.” I was doing that, and I got the opportunity. A lot of people came up to me and said, “You should be a model.” The industry was very different from what it is now. It’s all based on social media now. However, that message kept coming.

I met an agent. I moved to Los Angeles, and then I got an agent in Milan. I knew nothing about it, but I had good genetics. I stayed fit and trim. I put my resume together and my portfolio. There was a lot of game-playing there. There were a lot of sexual innuendos, a lot of sexual dysfunction, and gatekeeping. We see it all with the Epstein list and the Diddy party. The cat is out of the bag. There’s an undercurrent in these major industries.

I didn’t participate in any of those parties, but it was a gatekeeping situation. One of the persons implicated in the Epstein list was Jean Luc-Brunet. He died in prison. He was connected to Lex Wexner, Abercrombie and Fitch, and some of the photographers that got fingered in the #MeToo Movement. That ate away at my soul. I was a young man. I wanted to do good. I was given gifts. I put my best foot forward, but there was game-playing. I grew up on the street. I was like, “I don’t know what’s up, but something’s up. I’m not playing this game.” I kept moving forward.

I became friends with my agent in Miami. New York and Europe wanted to move down to Miami because Miami was popping. This was after Scarface and Miami went down. It was cheap to live there. It was resurrected and beautiful. People shot photographs down there. My agent helped Gianni Versace buy that property on Ocean Drive in ‘92. I was part of that agency.

The Dark Side Of Modeling And The Trap Of Addiction

He wanted to put himself on the map. I said, “Get me in that job.” I ended up doing four Versace campaigns. That still makes my career to this day. Once a Versace model, always a Versace model. I did the campaigns. It’s the biggest campaign in fashion. I was seeing this agent in New York. It was so funny because he goes, “This is so last year.” I’m like, “What?” That upset me.

Drugs and alcohol were everywhere. It was free in the modeling industry. The agencies and the nightclubs were owned by the mafia in Italy. It all went hand in hand. The average person would pay a large entrance fee and a hefty drink price, if you will. There was a lot of money to be made. They had the models at the clubs all the time. That was New York, Tokyo, London, everywhere. Especially Miami as well. I drank for free. The coke dealers knew that I knew a lot of people, so they’d give me free coke.

There I was. I worked five times a year. I had all this time on my hands. It has been said that idle hands are the devil’s work, and I truly believe that. I was in the fashion industry. I was a model. I had a little bit of an ego as well. Later on, I learned how to wait tables. It was one of the best things for me. I went back to Miami in 1999 after I had left there for many years. I made $14,000 cash in two and a half months, so I was like, “I can make money with my own skills.” I wished I would have waited tables when I was down there because it was so lucrative.

However, I lived at the Clevelander, which is on 10th in Ocean Drive. My friends were bartenders. I drank for free. I would drink 50 drinks a day. I did that for years. If I wasn’t working, I could hang out. I got in a lot of trouble. I started smoking weed and drinking maybe when I was thirteen. I didn’t have a lot of adult supervision, so I had my own challenges in that realm.

I had childhood trauma. I don’t like to default to, “Poor me. This is what happened,” but it’s the breeding ground for addiction, at least for me. Later on, and still in my life at 60, I still get to deal with that stuff. I still get to address my mental and emotional aspect of who I am, where my blocks are, what my hangups are, and what my old patterns are. I still get to look at that.

I was modeling. I wasn’t working as much. I had all this free time. Drugs and alcohol were everywhere. I got into the habit, and then the habit turned into a nightmare. I was partying all the time and ruining relationships. Some of my model buddies that I drank with were like, “Troy, you’re wasting your potential. What are you doing?” Never underestimate the power of a friend that tells you to sober up because this is truly love incarnate. They’re trying to get the message there.

Never underestimate the power of a friend that tells you to sober up, because this is truly love incarnate. Share on X

In fact, one of my best friends that I met in ‘92 in Milan is still out there drinking. I remember before I stopped drinking, we were both drinking double-fisted. He was like, “What are we going to do with our lives?” I’m like, “Shut up. Cowboy up. Let’s go.” I stopped, and he didn’t. It’s still going to this day. He’s in a halfway house. He’s had eight DUIs. He’s a great friend. I love him as much as I can. I also have to distance myself because he can drag me down. I sobered up. People told me I was wasting my potential. I moved to Los Angeles to start an acting career.

Five-Day Hangovers: The Ultimate Wake-Up Call

When did you realize that drinking was no longer working?

Five-day hangovers. I had the flu. Alcohol was my drug of choice, but cocaine allowed me to drink 24 hours a day. If heroin and MDMA are around, I’d be like, “Let’s party.” Five-day hangovers. Eventually, you have enough of that, especially in your late twenties. When you start going towards your 30s, what are you doing with your life?

How did you get sober? Some people do AA. Some people go to treatments. There are different paths to sobriety. What was the path that worked for you?

I’m still on the path to sobriety many years later. Let’s face it. In ‘95, it was my first wake-up call. A girlfriend broke up with me. I remember China White, which is like fentanyl and is a synthetic heroin, was on the beach in Miami. I remember we were playing around with that. I studied all this stuff in school, so I knew what to stay away from.

People usually have a hard time with meth because they don’t eat, and then they lose their teeth and their musculature. It’s a fast downward spiral. It only takes 2 or 3 days to be addicted to heroin or opiates. With that knowledge, I would stay away from it, but I would still toy with it. I remember she was breaking up with me. I was high on dope, and I couldn’t even feel it. I was like, “Whatever.” When I woke up from that hangover, I was like, “I lost a good woman. Let me start to sober up.”

I found AA. I was in the fashion industry. I was in South Beach, Miami. There is a lot of homosexuality there. I don’t mind people’s lifestyle, but usually, they start trying to push that on me. I don’t like putting up with that. Those rooms were full of homosexuals. They tell you not to date in the program in the first year, and these guys were all trying to pick up on me. I thought that was a bunch of crap.

However, the steps were pretty profound. I found that taking my own inventory, apologizing, and making amends all had tremendous value. The steps have tremendous value. You could call them spiritual in nature. I think Bill W. had something there. People would talk about step eleven. When I went to these step meetings, they would talk about meditation. They had this special quality about them, and I took note of that.

I would go up afterwards and ask them, “How do you meditate? What’s this?” That was 1995. It took me four and a half years to sober up in and out. I would sober up. I would eat well. I had a lot of knowledge about nutrition. One of the first books I read was all on biochemistry and minerals. It’s very important for your nutrition. Most people are self-medicating if they’re out of balance.

What are we self-medicating with, which is what is culturally acceptable? Alcohol, pharmaceutical drugs, which create massive imbalances as well, commercial cigarettes, and commercial coffee. All these things are drugs. They throw us out of balance. I would sober up, get on my nutrition game, go to the sauna, sweat it out, and live like that until something triggered me, and I was off partying. I was in the industry where partying was all around me. I went back and forth for about four and a half years.

In 1999, we were in San Francisco partying like it was 1999. I remember getting into a fight with my girlfriend at the time, and I had one of those Never Again moments. I wasn’t one for making New Year’s resolutions, but I was like, “I’m going to meditate. I’m going to change my life. I’m going to get down with whatever needs to be. I heard meditation works. Let me try that.” I didn’t know what I was doing.

I sat on a pillow for about an hour in the morning, watched my thoughts, did some ohms or whatever, and I instantly got relief. The anxiety or whatever was inside of me that was making that mental structure loop had calmed down. That was measurable immediately. From there, I was waiting tables in Los Angeles, and I told another waiter this story. He said, “I’ve sat the granddaddy of all courses, the ten-day Vipassana course, in silence.” I had heard about meditation retreats, but I knew nothing about them.

Silent Meditation And The Path To Mindful Sobriety

This was before the internet, so he contacted them. They mailed a packet. There was a booklet all about the depths of the mind and how meditation works on getting the root-level defilements out of the mind. I was in tears, so I signed up for it. Within two weeks, I went and sat my first ten-day meditation course. That was the nail in the coffin that sealed the deal. In 1999, I sobered up. Meditation helped me extensively. Meditation still helps me to this day.

Meditation is one of the best things, in my opinion. There are a lot of things that I do, and I know there are a lot of things that you do, but when it comes down to it, meditation is the thing that helps me stay centered, helps me stay grounded, and helps me get more relief.

The mind is an embodied process. We are all mind if you look at natural law. We are the sum total of our ideas. The mental structure is always going off. If we can find that stillness, which is related to our nervous system, which is related to our autonomic nervous system, fight or flight, then we can have more balance and more calm, and we can respond instead of react.

I know that sounds like a bunch of words, but meditation has that element of harmonizing the nervous system. That’s oftentimes where we’re reacting from with either craving, an addiction, or aversion. It is things that we want or don’t want, and we’re constantly reacting to them. The Buddha discovered this underneath the tree many years ago. These courses are taught in that vein. It’s not about ideas, religious mental constructs, or any of that. It’s sitting on your pillow for 10 to 12 hours a day and dealing with yourself.

Back to the element of balance, when we find balance, there’s no need to self-medicate. We are already self-medicating ourselves with serotonin, dopamine, and endocannabinoids. Exercise, meditation, and good nutrition build our own neurochemistry. The world is completely out of balance with pollution. The food is crap.

I Love Being Sober |Troy Casey | Five-Day Hangover

Five-Day Hangover: When we find balance inside, there is no need to self-medicate because exercise, meditation, and good nutrition build our own healthy neurochemistry.

If we’re not paying attention to these things, it’s easy for our biochemistry to get out of balance, and then we grab the things that are going to balance us for the moment. What may balance us for the moment may throw us out of balance for long periods of time after. Hence, the five-day hangovers. I was like, “I’m not into that anymore.”

It sounds like you started with a Vipassana, which seems like a big leap.

Four and a half years into the game, though.

Four and a half years of meditating sporadically.

Four and a half years of trying to get sober. I was in and out of AA.

I still haven’t done the Vipassana. I’m going to be doing Tapas. Have you heard of the Tapas retreat? It’s in India. It’s five long days of meditation. They’re doing it for the first time in February 2026 in Sedona. It should be good. I don’t exactly know, but it sounds similar to the Vipassana. For someone who wants to get into meditation, what do you recommend? How do they start?

Go sit a ten-day Vipassana course. They’re free. What else in this world is free? It’s on a donation basis, so it’s not free. You can’t pay anything to go in there. If after you have received benefits, then you can donate whatever you want. There are three centers in California and 150 or so centers around the world. They’re there.

Hands down, if you want to continue your sobriety once you guys are out here, go sit a ten-day Vipassana course. They’re free. They feed you good food. They’ve got good housing. It’s all air-conditioned. The land is usually beautiful. Either Southern California or Northern California. It will seal the deal. Ten days with yourself, you’ll get clear.

Ten days alone with yourself in silence allows you to get really centered and purify the mind so your thoughts aren't running you into the ground. Share on X

Alone with your thoughts.

Hopefully, the thoughts start to alleviate, and you start getting very centered in whether you call it the voice of God or that silence can go to the depths of the mind and purify the mind, ultimately. The goal of the technique is to purify the mind so the thoughts aren’t running you into the ground.

Let’s talk about the Nine Pillars of Health and how they can help someone rebuild their physical, mental, and emotional foundation.

The Nine Pillars Of Health For Rebuilding Body And Mind

For the nine pillars that I’ve identified, there’s nothing new under the sun. It’s hydration, nutrition, and sleep. The body needs movement. The pump for the lymphatic fluids is the pelvic floor, the transverse abdominis, and the diaphragm. We need to move our bodies every day. The lymph is our interstitial fluid. We’ve all seen a swamp or a stagnant body of water turn into a cesspool. We need to move our body every day.

There’s been massive amounts of research in the UCLA Sleep Clinic on sleep. Your body needs sleep. This is the hospital. This is the medicine. You need sleep every day. Eight hours is a good framework. The more you can get to sleep around 10:00 or before 10:00, you’re going to get more repair. If we’re out partying, doing drugs, and all that stuff, it takes a toll on our nervous system and our biochemistry. The only way you’re going to heal that is through rest. Fasting and sleep are the best ways to heal the human body. Fasting is allowing the organs to rest. Sleep and movement.

Sleep is the hospital and the medicine for your body. Getting rest every day is essential to heal your nervous system and biochemistry. Share on X

You’re made up of the earth. That comes in the form of minerals, which makes you electric. We are electromagnetic beings. We get electricity from the sun and magnetism from the earth. This is all well-documented, whether it’s in the book Earthing, Earthing.com, or grounding. This is all fundamental, and we’ve gotten far away from it.

Rubber soles were invented, I do believe, in the ‘50s. We’re disconnected from the earth. We need to get back and harmonize ourselves with nature. There are so many distractions with the cell phones, overcommunication, the toxicity in the air, the water, the soil, and the food. You’re mostly water. It’s a good idea to source some pure water. You’re worth it.

We’re in a relationship with everyone and everything. It’s a good idea to have gratitude for what is and forgiveness for what was. Otherwise, you could be carrying around a bag of baggage. These are fundamental principles. Legacy is very important. Where there is no vision, the people will perish. Man needs purpose. Otherwise, we’ll go around in circles.

Traditionally, man has known what’s on the horizon to eat and what potentially is going to eat him. Now, we’re living in the modern world with all these conveniences, but we still have that biology inside of us. It has been turned off. We’re scrolling and ignoring the body signals. We’re hungry, and then we eat crap, and then we feel like crap. We self-medicate or get more caffeine, nicotine, or sugar. This throws us up and down like that, and we’re responding. We’re like, “How do I calm my nervous system?”

How I calmed my nervous system and anxiety when I was younger was alcohol. One of the first times I became aware of that was when my ex-girlfriend at the time. It was 10:00 in the morning, and I used to buy 40 ounces of Old English. I went in there, and she goes, “What are you going in there for?” I go, “I got to calm my nervous system.” It was 10:00in the morning. Drinking in the daytime is a danger zone. I was there. I used to wake up and drink the old scotch out of my plastic cup and stuff, too. That’s a danger zone.

Everything I’ve put in the book and the Nine Pillars are basic fundamental principles that our grandparents and our parents should have taught us. We’ve gotten so far away from it in the industrial world that we don’t pay attention to sunlight, grounding, nutrition, food, and sleep. Sleep is so important, as well as movement. Everybody needs to move. You don’t need to go to the gym. Walking is the best exercise for the human body. Those are the Nine Pillars.

I Love Being Sober |Troy Casey | Five-Day Hangover

Five-Day Hangover: Walking is the best exercise for the human body. You don’t need a gym—getting into locomotion and moving daily changes everything.

You’ve got nine pillars. A lot of people in this room are 30, 60, or 90 days sober. This is something new. Giving them nine things to focus on seems like a lot.

Mindset, movement, and nutrition. Boil it down to that.

There you go.

Get your mind right. Say, “I choose to say sober. I choose to say balanced. I choose to stay healthy.” Your mind’s there. You’re going to need nutrition, and the food supply is messed up. Raise your hand if you’re aware of how messed up the food supply is. It is poisoned. I go to the farmer’s market. You are not far from the central farmer’s market. You should make a trip over there because that’s where food comes from. It is from the earth and the farmers, not from the store.

Build a relationship around that because that’s your biochemistry. That’s your serotonin and your dopamine, which are your feel-good chemicals. That’s the reason why you party anyway because those things aren’t balanced. Grab the thing that’s going to make you feel good. Mindset, movement, and nutrition. The body needs to move. Find something that works well.

Who likes riding a bicycle? Who remembers riding a bicycle? That’s been my dominant transportation for 30 years. I lived in LA on the beach for a while. I have electric bikes here. It’s dangerous in the city to be riding. I live on the edges of Scottsdale. However, move your body. I like to call it your BMW. Bike, Metro, and Walking. I know the metro in some of these cities suck, but in New York, you can do it, and then all the European cities.

Get into locomotion. Walking is the best way to move. This is the way we’ve moved through time and space. Mindset, movement, and nutrition boil it down a little bit better. For the mind, you can start getting into any facets of spirituality, advanced manifestation, or whatever. Mind is an embodied process. Focus on what you want AND what your heart desires, not what the head can monetize.

The biohacking world is huge. Cold plunges, red light, peptides, wearables, and twenty supplements before breakfast. You’ve said that the stuff that moves the needle is mostly free. Make that case.

Why Biohacking Can’t Replace Core Health Fundamentals

Drinking alcohol at 10:00 in the morning to calm my nervous system is a shortcut. It works at the moment. However, what’s the effect? Another natural law is cause and effect. Whatever you do is going to affect you down the road. Gadgets, gimmicks, and drugs work. However, there is always a price to pay when you’re utilizing synthetics. We all know what drugs are. Steroids, peptides, and Ozempic. All these things are drugs, and drugs create imbalances. Drugs are synthetics. You can’t find balance from synthetics.

Back to the ancient sages. What did they all say? From Gandhi to Jesus to Buddha. Balance or walk the middle path or the S-curve of the yin-yang symbol. It’s all about balance. Yin and yang. Masculine and feminine. Inhalation and exhalation. Light and dark. You can’t have one without the other. It’s not like inhalation is better than exhalation or masculine is better than feminine. You have to be balanced in all of these facets. That is life. That is the dualistic paradox that we live here.

I Love Being Sober |Troy Casey | Five-Day Hangover

Five-Day Hangover: It’s all about balance—masculine and feminine, inhalation and exhalation, light and dark. You have to be balanced in all facets of life.

The pendulum swings both ways. We want to stay balanced here because we can go from complete debauchery, as I have, to complete abstinence. If you don’t have your act together on some of these more fundamental principles that we’re talking about, the pendulum can swing both ways. That’s what I did from ‘95 to ‘99. I would sober up, and then I would party my butt off. You want to come back to balance and whatever is going to give you that fundamental balance.

Meditation is key. Real nutrition, fasting, and juice fasting. Juice fasting is like a blood transfusion, flooding your body with nutrients. Beta-carotene if you’re drinking carrot juice, and cell salts if you’re drinking celery juice. Juice fasting is another technique. Meditation is another technique. Water fasting is another technique. These things help restore balance to the system.

There are a lot of things that I do. Whether it’s drinking, drugs, or even cold plunging, you feel the results immediately. If I do a cold plunge, I feel my dopamine increase exponentially immediately. I feel the effects immediately. With drinking and drugs, you feel the effects immediately. There are a lot of things that you do where you feel the effects. Even with exercise, you feel the effects immediately.

With meditation, you don’t necessarily feel the effects immediately, even though meditation is so powerful. Has anybody ever tried to meditate and been like, “I don’t know what that did?” Can you speak to that? What should people feel when they meditate? I don’t exactly know where my question is, but that was the thing that I was thinking about. I’m a huge advocate for meditation. I meditate every day. I do feel the effects immediately, but it’s not like a boom effect.

It’s not like a cup of coffee, a 40 of OE, a line of coke, or worse, fentanyl. In 1999, when I said, “I’m going to meditate,” I instantly got results. It wasn’t measurable, but the anxiety and the inner talk came up during meditation. I observed it. When I got off the pillow, it wasn’t riding me. I did notice that. It’s also like when you have to go to a job interview, and you iron your shirt. It looks good. It’s crisp. It’s ironed.

It looks smooth and everything. You go out, and you’re presentable. That doesn’t mean it’s not going to wrinkle again, but it’s smoothed out. It’s ironed out for the moment. When you do that as a self-medication, ultimately, with balance, because that is not utilizing substance. You’re using your own biochemistry.

Calming The Nervous System And Rewiring Neural Networks

There’s a lot of research on the HeartMath Institute. Joe Dispenza and the HeartMath Institute have done a ton of research. It’s one of the only things that does neuroplasticity, which rewires your brain. Joe Dispenza has a book called Evolve Your Brain. There’s research on neuroplasticity building new neural nets. Oftentimes, when we grab the drug or the alcohol, that’s an old wiring system. We’re like, “This will work or I won’t even think about it. Let me grab it.”

Meditation rewires your brain through neuroplasticity, building new neural nets so you can respond with peace rather than react out of old habits. Share on X

When you meditate, it makes those new neural nets. You have more access to serotonin, dopamine, and your neurochemistry. It also can calm the autonomic nervous system. There are two chains to it. There’s sympathetic, which is the lion chasing. It’s fight or flight. Parasympathetic is when we feed and breed, or rest and digest. We’re staying balanced, the yin and the yang, between the two.

In the book, I have the seven factors of stress. Elevated cortisol creates inflammation. Inflammation causes disease, and disease kills dreams. It’s a good idea to understand what’s on the horizon to eat you and what is to eat. You want to stay balanced with the nervous system. When our nervous system gets triggered, there are two triggers that are happening. They’re invisible every day that you wake up. That’s the chemical toxicity of the environment.

You’ve got diesel engines. You’ve got whatever they’re spraying and seeding the clouds with. All this pollution. Even the brake dust and the tires are massive amounts of pollution in a big city like this. You’ve got pollution, and you have electromagnetic radiation from Wi-Fi and the cell phone towers, as well as all the radio waves. There’s a book called The Invisible Rainbow. You can read about it if you want to understand it a little bit better.

However, we’re being bombarded with communication devices, whether it’s in your pocket. It all should be on Airplane Mode or off if you have it in your pocket. These two things affect your cortisol. If your cortisol is elevated and is not balanced out, it will break the body down and create imbalances. Meditation calms your cortisol. You’ve got thermal stress and psychic stress. Who’s sober and wants to go to a bar? I don’t want to hang out with a bunch of drunk people.

I can.

I can, too, but do I want to?

It’s not fun.

It’s past my bedtime. I know if I get to bed at 10:00 or thereabouts, I will wake up and feel rested. I want my energy. I’m in my 60s years old. I’m not here to fool around anymore. If I stay up late, I get a sleep hangover. If I eat gluten and junk food, I get a food hangover. I’m done with the hangovers. I had five-day hangovers on drugs and alcohol. I’m cool. Sleep and food are the same way. If I get around too many negative people, same thing. I’ve got to find my balance.

The seven factors of stress are in the book. I can get a digital copy to all of you as well. You’ve got psychic stress and thermal stress. You live in the valley of the sun. It’s too hot or too cold. The sun will fucking cook you. Go for a walk for an hour, come back, and see how stressed out you are. It’s a good stimulus for hormesis and eustress to build it. If you’re hanging out all day, that is a major stress on the human body. You’re managing and mitigating the stress factors so you can stay balanced.

You can stay in the parasympathetic, which meditation and sleep put you into, which is rest and digest. Feed and breed. Why do they say feed and breed? It’s because you’re not going to be procreating or fooling around with the missus if you have got a lion chasing you. You shut down digestion and store fat when the sympathetic is chronic, and cortisol is raised.

An overweight body is a stressed body, so manage and mitigate your hormones. There are no isolated hormones. It’s a symphony. It’s a cacophony. They’re always playing. Balance your sympathetic fight or flight with your parasympathetic feed and breed. Does that make sense? I don’t want to get too sideways. I want to oversimplify everything for you, so you have so much takeaway here. The Nine Pillars are non-negotiables.

My sleep is non-negotiable. My kids in bed is non-negotiable. I’m mostly water. I’m not going to drink chlorinated and fluoridated water in plastic. We already know what all the plastic problems are and how those affect the hormones. All the information is on social media. The BPAs, the polymers, and the xenoestrogens from plastic affect us. I’m doing the best I can because I’m still polluted by living in this city in the real world. None of this stuff I say is a license to be neurotic. Neurosis is a mental disorder.

Cultivating Vital Energy: Breathwork, Movement, And Qigong

We are going to open it up to questions. If anybody has any questions on any of the stuff that he’s talking about, save it. Let’s talk about the nervous system and mental health. How can breathwork, meditation, Qigong, movement, and nature help people create healthier patterns to reconnect with themselves?

Walking is the best exercise. Everybody can do it. It doesn’t take anything. This is Qigong. Qigong is rhythm, flow, and different movements that are going to create mobility. The more you can do it, the more you can move, the older you get. You don’t want to get sedentary in your ways. Qi means energy. Gong means practice. It’s an energy cultivation practice.

If you do 100 deep breaths, see the diaphragm opening up, then, exhale. You push the diaphragm and empty everything out. Doing slow rhythm and flow-type movements is going to bring rhythm and flow into your body-mind consciousness. Who needs more rhythm and flow? I want to flow. I don’t want to be going up against the brick wall, and then when things don’t go my way, I go get a 40. I want to have more rhythm and flow. We’re here to move through time and space.

Qigong is an ancient tool. Yoga is an ancient tool. It’s a tool of movement. It’s a movement meditation as well. You’re going to calm the nervous system, doing something with rhythm, flow, and repetition, especially when you’re breathing. Breathing is so important. You breathe 25,000-plus times per day. It’s the first form of nutrition. That and the sunlight are the way we get energy into our body.

Breathing is the first form of nutrition. You breathe over 25,000 times a day, so optimizing your breath gives you free energy and ease. Share on X

The food is sequestered sunlight through photosynthesis and chlorophyll. The omnivores eat the herbivores, and everything dies. The microbes break down the materials, and then the plants reuptake them. This is the closed organic life cycle of biology on planet Earth. It’s all coming from the sun, which is the source of all life on the planet. Get off the seed oils. Take your shirt off. Get out in the sun whenever you can because the sun is energy.

It’s going to harmonize you. It’s going to calm your nervous system. It’s going to get into your retinas, especially if you wake up in the morning with the sunrise. This thing is free. Harmonize yourself with the natural cycles of life. Before the Modern Age, we used to be out in the fields, either farming or hunting and gathering. We were out on the earth. We’ve gotten far away from that. We’re completely out of balance, which is making the earth out of balance. We need to get back to these fundamental principles.

You said Qigong and breathwork. We breathe 25,000-plus times per day. It’s a good idea to optimize your diaphragm. That’s free nutrition. If you want to complete the electrical circuit that’s going through the body, because remember, we’re electromagnetic beings, then put the tongue on the roof of the mouth and breathe in and out through the nose. That’s going to make nitric oxide and make your muscles and cells operate. It’s going to function at a higher level.

You want more ease and grace in your life. There’s still stress out there, but all this stuff is going to help you respond instead of react. You’re going to be able to be of service instead of being a drag on your friends, your family, and society. So optimizing your breathing patterns, to me, is a no-brainer. You can rewire your breathing patterns by doing that one Qigong move. Exhale. Belly button into the heart. Emptying the diaphragm. That’s one simple move.

I Love Being Sober |Troy Casey | Five-Day Hangover

Five-Day Hangover: Optimizing your breathing patterns helps bring endurance to your muscles and calms your stress response, allowing you to be of service to others.

There’s another move. The stork walk. Pay attention to that. Put your tongue on the roof of the mouth. Mew. Get your jaw in the right position. Tape your mouth shut at night to make sure you’re not mouth breathing. Why? Cortisol is fight or flight. If you’re breathing through your mouth, that’s going to release cortisol. If your mouth is open and you’re breathing from your mouth, that’s going to release cortisol. Cortisol shuts down digestion, stores fat, and prepares the body to fight or flight. It’s going to put you in a sympathetic nervous system response, which is stress.

Work on your breath. That’s a no-brainer. You don’t have to do pranayama like that. Tongue on the roof of the mouth and go for a walk. Everybody, stand up. What does it feel like to have your diaphragm completely open? Inhale slowly with your tongue on the roof of the mouth. Breathe in through the nose and out through the nose, and then get into your body.

Push off your heels. Get into the body, and then breathe. Open up the arms. Float the arms up. Exhale slowly. With your tongue on the roof of the mouth, breathe in through the nose and out through the nose. Inhale. Feel that rib cage opening up. Exhale. One more. Inhale. Exhale. Have a seat and then raise your hand if you feel a little different. How simple was that? This is super simple. It’s free.

I’m thinking about this. Do you know Larry Arnold?

No.

He’s local. He’s one of the coaches that I’ve worked with. I remember I started working with him in 2016. I said, “I want to do an Ironman, but I can’t run more than five miles.” He started working with me. The first thing he said was, “You’re not breathing.” I was like, “What are you talking about?” I’m breathing. You know how to breathe. Everybody thinks they know how to breathe. He said, “You’re not breathing.” I’m like, “What are you talking about that I’m not breathing?” He gave me some boxing gloves and had me do a little workout. The next thing you know, I’m seeing stars.

You’re gassed.

He’s like, “It’s because you’re not breathing.” That was the first time I became aware of it and realized that I wasn’t breathing. Working on your breath is something that people think they know how to do. I walk around, and most people are walking around with very short, shallow breaths.

With mouth breathing and neck breathing, you know it if your scalenes are tight. Awareness is the first step. Now that you’re aware of the tongue in the roof of the mouth and breathing in through the nose and out through the nose, you’re going to optimize the nitric oxide, which is going to bring more endurance to your muscles. You’re going to have more energy, as he’s talking about.

This is awareness. That doesn’t make you Lance Armstrong tomorrow. You keep breathing and keep paying attention to it, and you’ll expand from there. It will help you with your stress levels. It’s simple. It is a meditation. You’re like, “I’m focusing on my tongue on the roof of my mouth, breathing in through the nose and out through the nose.” Get some mouth tape. See if you’re even a mouth breather.

It works with beards, too. They have this stretchy stuff that you put on there. My mouth falls open, too. I get to continuously pay attention to my breath. Some of the original breathwork is running, exercise, and boxing, as he said. That is your breathing apparatus. If you guys aren’t aware, exercise brings you all your dopamine and your serotonin. The real drug of choice is exercise.

Do you want to get to a flow state? Exercise is the way to get there.

It doesn’t have to be working out. It doesn’t need to be strenuous. I have a handful of Qigong moves. #ZenSwing. Bring that up on social media. It’s swinging back and forth with your tongue on the roof of the mouth. That’s going to move every joint, ligaments, fascia, all your muscles, cerebral spinal fluid, and synovial fluid. It’s going to lubricate your whole body. If you do that for ten minutes a day, it will change your life dramatically. You can heal anything from that one simple move. That’s simple. If that’s too hard for you, go walk.

Focus on your breath. I have one more question before we’re going to open it up. Some of the people sitting here are alive because of psychiatric medication, antidepressants, mood stabilizers, antipsychotics, and Suboxone. They hear a natural health message and start thinking about quitting their meds. What do you want to say directly to those people?

Navigating Pharmaceuticals, Detox, And Natural Healing

You have to work with your medical doctor. The only problem is the medicine is not there to help you. The medicine industry is there to hook you. That is the bottom line. I’m not telling anyone to get off their meds. If you want to do it, there is a doable way. Suboxone is going to rob your soul. There’s no doubt about it. Ask anybody that knows.

If you have the capital to do it, go down to Mexico and do Ibogaine. Ibogaine is pretty magical in what it does for cleaning the receptor sites and setting you on a path. It’s a pretty powerful psychedelic. It’s going to open you up, but it’s going to detox some of the very gnarly drugs. I do believe with Suboxone, Diazepam, Valium, and stuff, they have to get you on other psych meds, and then the ibogaine will get you off of that.

I’m not versed in all of the medical pharmacopoeia. However, I know it can be done. The Wolf of Wall Street, Jordan Belfort, did ibogaine for Suboxone. Work with a professional. If you want something and you want balance, then you drill down to bedrock. I am here to tell you that nature heals everything. You have to do it in a balanced way.

I knew a guy who is a quadriplegic. Richard Bietor. He goes to my gym in North Scottsdale. They were putting him on nerve drugs. He was on it for twenty years. He read a book by an MD and gave it to his MD to help him try and get off these nerve drugs, and it didn’t work. His detox was extremely powerful. He almost died, but he was determined to get off of these drugs because he read what it was doing to his myelin sheath and his nervous system.

I’m here to tell you that if there’s a will, there’s a way. You’re not going to find balance in synthetics. You may find peace momentarily, but that’s no different from me going into the liquor store and getting a 40-ounce at 10:00 in the morning. You will find peace momentarily, but will that be sustainable? Where there’s a will, there’s a way. Work with your natural doctor and with your own biochemistry.

I practice urine therapy. I know that’s very far out there for a lot of people, but I got a message from some guy that had leukemia. I talk about urine therapy. I don’t necessarily advocate it. If you’re at the end of your rope and there is no other choice, and this guy got that message, then I suggest that you research J. W. Armstrong’s book, The Water of Life. You take responsibility for whatever it is. This guy read the book and practiced it. They can’t find the leukemia in his blood. He wrote to me.

Fasting, urine therapy, Taoist Qigong, sleep, rest, and moving into nature. There’s another guy I follow on social media. He had leukemia. He started swimming in cold rivers. He lives in Oregon. He also started forest bathing. They can’t find the leukemia in him either. Nature heals everything, but you have to have the will. You’ve got to use the will that’s in your heart and soul. Direct the will in the right way and align with nature.

You can heal yourself. We are self-healing, all-knowing mechanisms. We’re not a drop in the ocean. We are the ocean in a drop. We are God consciousness. The body heals itself. If you want to disagree with that, I cut myself with one of those big glass bottles a couple of months ago. My body healed itself. It has healed. That’s one aspect of it. Nature heals everything.

I’ve got more questions, but I want to open it up to you. The floor is open. Who’s got a question for Mr. Troy Casey?

What does your daily routine look like, from going to sleep to waking up, to what you eat for breakfast, and exercise routines?

Daily Rhythms For Grounded Living And Mitochondrial Health

I don’t have a routine. I live as much as I can in the moment. However, I don’t like to get to bed much later than 10:00. The sun went down at 6:00, 7:00, or 8:00. We are not nocturnal beings. Harmonizing with the sun is probably a good idea for me and my nervous system to feel good. I need organic, nutritious food. I don’t put food in a system that’s backed up. Unless I have a bowel movement, I don’t eat breakfast.

I drink pure water. I’m going to drink water when I wake up. I’m going to move my body, because the body needs to move. I moved it at around 6:00 or 7:00. I got out around 11:00 and moved my body. I’m going to get some sunlight. There’s a lot of research that shows it turns on your mitochondria. Your cells function at a higher level when you get that morning red light from the sunrise. I’ve been more diligent about going outside first thing in the morning.

I love my kids, so I’m going to make some time throughout the day to hug them, love them, tell them I love them, and ask them if they need any help. I’m going to eat at one time for sure. It would probably be a meal with my kids. That meal is going to be farmer direct. It’s going to be consistent with some types of fruits, vegetables, grass-fed animals, and eggs that are not fed corn and soy. It’s pure, real food.

I’m going to meditate. I like to do two hours a day. I got half an hour, so I’ll probably meditate later. I move my body and get some sun. I work online, so I make a lot of videos. I’ll probably communicate with people in that realm, either making videos, calling my team, editing a video, or communicating with people on social media that need help.

As far as a routine goes, I wake up every day. I know that sounds dysfunctional because you got everybody online going, “I wake up at 3:00 AM. I do this, and I do that.” Most of it is crap. Most people online are full of crap. They’re either living testament to what they’re doing. The majority of fitness people online, I would say 95%, 90%, or so, are on drugs. They’re on performance-enhancing drugs. When I was younger, they used to call them steroids. Now, they call it TRT. There are peptides and all sorts of fancy stuff. Drugs work. I love drugs. That’s why I don’t do them.

You can get addicted to aesthetics, too, so be very aware when you’re scrolling online. It’s fake. Almost everything is fake. You only want to concern yourself with being real. What does your heart and soul desire? What is your connection with the divine? Ask yourself, “What do I truly desire?” and then start aligning with that. Every day, you begin again. Begin within. Begin again.

You’re a human being. You’re designed to come here through the difficulties and have your soul grow. No one here gets out alive. This is what it’s all about. It’s all about rising above and continuing to rise. Everyone has difficulties, and these difficulties are what galvanize your soul to the next level. Keep going deeper. Does that answer your question?

I Love Being Sober |Troy Casey | Five-Day Hangover

Five-Day Hangover: Everyone faces difficulties in life, but those difficulties are what galvanize your soul to the next level.

Yes.

I don’t want to get off left-field and be too philosophical.

I’ve been watching some of your videos for quite some time. I’m curious what inspires you.

I think that life on earth is interesting. My children inspire me. It is some type of interesting, magical gift to be here in the third dimension and to be able to go through time and space and create something out of nothing. I’m a kid from the street. If I can wake up to this level, other people can as well. This is what inspires me. I truly believe that we as a species can live in harmony with each other and the environment. I’m going to take that to my grave.

Q&A: Questioning Modern Medicine And Systemic Programs

I’m still a little bit confused about what you’re trying to say. I get the fear with big pharma and stuff, but what do you mean when you say that our meds aren’t here to help us, but they’re here to hook us?

Synthetics have a way of creating imbalances. When you’re imbalanced, you need more of that, like coke, heroin, alcohol, or even the 400 chemicals that are put in commercial cigarettes or the vape machines. Those things are designed to hook us. Balance, you’re going to find in nature. When you are satiated, when you are hydrated, and when you have enough nutrition in your body, then you have the potential to be balanced.

Ultimately, if you’re out in the wild and you’re starving, eventually, that’s going to give you a signal that you’ve got to go out and do something to feed your body and feed your family. It will create balance inside of yourself. Newtonian and Cartesian mechanistic physics have created this-for-that linear static inputs. When you’re linear static inputs into a dynamic harmonic system, it’s going to create chaos. If you put harmony inside of the body, then it creates more peace. Does that make sense?

It does. The chemical imbalance in my brain gives me anxiety. My medications do help with that. I get how nature can help with that as well, but for my OCD and my depression, nature can’t cure that. It can help, for sure. Medication can’t cure it either, but there’s ketamine treatment and TMS. That physically switches up the chemical imbalance in your brain.

First of all, we are programmable. They put a curse on us and tell us what’s wrong with us, and that the solution is this chemical. It’s a curse. It’s a program inside of the mind. They’re telling you that you’re going to die from cancer, or you’re going to die from this. They scared my ex-wife and told them my child would die unless I took a DTaP vaccine. They do this. If you know anything about placebo or nocebo, placebo can be more powerful than an actual drug. Are you aware of that?

If I do somehow get breast cancer, let’s say, I tell myself, “I don’t have it,” and it’ll go away?

There are plenty of people who have put breast cancer in remission by working with their mind and various other techniques. The internet is full of that. You also have a world that’s full of curses, like, “I have cancer. I have MS. I have this problem.” They repeat it, and they stay on their drugs and their programs. Personally, I stay away from all things medical and the state. I don’t want anything to do with either of those. I’ve seen that they are an abstraction from actual biology and how we live. They can’t help me. They can’t serve me. My children have never been to a pediatrician. My son’s nineteen.

How is he doing?

He is healthy. He is a stud.

That’s good.

He was also raised in Waldorf schools, which teach them how to think, not what to think. He is alive. He’s well. He’s vibrant. He’s not into hookup culture. He’s got a good heart and a good soul. He’s never been vaccinated, ever. No vaccines. No pediatrician ever. My daughter’s the same. She’s fifteen. These children are forced to be reckoned with. I recommend, if you want deeper study, to study the work of Rudolf Steiner.

I’ve gotten into holistic healing and stuff like that. I understand the power of nature, but I do think it can be harmful to people out there saying that nature itself can heal you when cancer is a real thing, and chemo does help.

My research shows that chemo only helps to a certain degree, a very small percentage. Chemotherapy kills good cells as well and does more damage than good. That’s my research. The commercial conduits are going to give you propaganda. I recommend reading Edward Bernays book, Propaganda, from the early 1900s, to understand the psychological warfare that we’re under. We’re being programmed.

You have to understand that the Rockefellers were oil men. They wanted control. They bought the railroads. They bought the docking stations. They bought everything that affected the commercial conduits of oil. Once they dominated everything, they created the Flexner Report with Carnegie. Read into that as well. It erases all the herbalism and natural protocols that we used for millennia, previous to that time, and only made state-run medical doctors or state-licensed medical doctors. The universities would get money for funding. This is the system that we live in.

We live in an oiligarchy. Everything’s run from oil. All the wars around the world are about oil. The neocons wrote a century for a new America in 1999. It doesn’t matter who’s in the presidency. They were destined to go after Libya, Syria, and Afghanistan. Afghanistan and Syria were pipelines. Saudi Arabia is the number one producer of oil. Iraq is number two. Iran is number three. Venezuela is number four. Has anybody heard any of these names in the last couple of decades in the news? Libya was number nine.

The world is run by oil. Petrochemical byproducts are in medical drugs. The Rockefellers and Rockefeller medicine is another thing I recommend watching. Try to find James Corbett’s documentary on Rockefeller medicine to understand the factoids, and then to understand the world that we live in. That’s all kept in place with the military-industrial complex, the weapons, and the media. It’s oil, banking, and Ag. Also, the petrochemical byproducts are put in agriculture.

The agriculture companies are owned by the pharmaceutical companies. These are all subsidiaries. These six industries are intertwined with all the other industries. This is what’s keeping humanity down. It’s not elevating. It’s not helping us. Seventy-five percent of the American people are obese or overweight. Suicide amongst children 14 to 21 is the number two killer. That’s an aborted mission. Our prime directive is procreation, not killing ourselves. You’re pretty intelligent if you can keep up with what I said.

The Interconnected Systems Influencing Modern Health

To sum it up, are you telling the people in this room and the people that will eventually read that our meds aren’t helping us?

I’m not here to talk about the medical industry. I’m here to talk about nature and God. The medical industry has its own hang-ups. My personal opinion is it’s a dead-end road, and it’s unnecessary. Are we getting better, or are we getting sicker? Since the War on Cancer from Nixon in 1973, I believe, have we gotten more cancer or less cancer?

There are a lot more pesticides in the air. COVID happened. There are a lot of other diseases that happen besides cancer.

Read Edward Bernays’ Propaganda to understand the world that we live in. Gain of function and all that COVID stuff was all manufactured. RFK wrote a great book called The Wuhan Cover-Up: And the Terrifying Bioweapons Arms Race and The Real Anthony Fauci. Two books that are thick. If you want to dig into the truth and what’s going on the planet, there’s plenty of documentation. If you want to take it one step further and tie everything into the Epstein List and all the politicians and corporations, then read One Nation Under Blackmail by Whitney Alyse.

You said some things that resonated with me because my father has leukemia. Now, he has lung cancer, which is completely unrelated. He’s looking at ivermectin. Do you have any thoughts on it? He’s reading into it.

On Ivermectin?

Yes. As far as leukemia specifically, there’s research that it can help reverse it because you’ll never be cured.

Two people I referenced had healed themselves from leukemia.

He’s in a place of remission with that, but I was wondering if you have any good reads or things like that that you’d recommend around ivermectin.

Are we talking about ivermectin or healing naturally?

Yes, specifically.

Ivermectin is a pharmaceutical drug. I do believe that there are Trojan horses going on with whoever they didn’t inject with the mRNA, which is the machine. It’s part of the transhumanism agenda. Is anybody aware of this at all? There is an idea to make you silica-based as opposed to carbon-based and get the machines. Anybody see The Terminator or a lot of these Sci-Fi movies? They want to get the machines into us. That’s what the data centers are all about. That’s what the chem trails are all about. They want to get these nanotechnologies, self-assembling, inside of our blood. It’s happening. You can find these videos on Rumble.

People who weren’t vaccinated with the mRNA have these materials in their body as well because of the toxic shedding through the breath, sweat, etc. I do believe Ivermectin and the peptides have this nanotechnology in them. The nano is using our own biology against us as well. This is a great time, in my humble opinion, because a lot of it’s pretty science fiction, but it’s also written.

Yuval Harari, who works for the World Economic Forum, is Klaus Schwab’s little minion boy. He wrote a book called Homo Deus. It’s all in there how they want to merge us into the machines. Elon Musk has the Neuralink. Ray Kurzweil has been writing about this for decades. There are patents for nanotechnology, the metals, and how they self-assemble inside the body. There’s a lady that I follow on Instagram. She reads the patents right off of the patent website. That’s all pretty fantastical. This is a great time to find God inside of you and align with natural fundamental principles.

He is reading The Water of Life. That’s a book that he’s reading because he’s very into the holistic. He’s not taking a chemo pill. He’s trying to handle it naturally.

Urine therapy comes from the Yoga Sutras.

I haven’t heard of that.

It’s ancient technology. It’s very fantastical for a lot of people. Everybody gets a chuckle out of drinking your pee. However, there are anecdotes all over the internet. The pharmaceutical companies aren’t going to fund the studies, but guess what? Urokinase is in blood clotting drugs. They harvest the urine from urinals at sporting events, and then they make urokinase out of it and sell it back to you. They also make urea that gets put in cosmetics and skincare. Urine is useful in the world of pharmacology.

It’s similar to mothers having the placenta after giving birth.

Correct. We have lost our way from nature and our connection to God. We’re completely disconnected. However, we can find our way back. There are always solutions. The internet is full of people who have healed themselves naturally. I’m not saying this, or that works for this medical disease and that medical disease, or to get off your meds. That’s way outside of my scope. I have no idea how those things work. I also know if you’re that out of balance, getting off stuff like that can be hell.

That paraplegic friend of mine did it. You can have a Herxheimer reaction, which is a detox reaction. If you get too messed up on drugs and alcohol, you have to go through a detox program. Same thing with ibogaine. The magic of ibogaine is it detoxes the opiate receptors within 24 hours. There’s no detoxification time period.

It magically clears the receptor sites as well as takes you through a psychedelic experience that puts you on your knees and makes you say, “God, please.” You see your whole life that you’ve lived and where your soul has come from. You have a mental and emotional element that can also shift your behavior once you’re done with that psychedelic natural medicine experience. It’s not about psychedelics. It cleans the receptor sites from heroin and fentanyl.

Overcoming Real-World Struggles And The Power Of Mindset

Some of us work from 9:00 to 5:00 in order to support our lives. Some of us have children that we need to fund preschool, healthcare, and all the things. What would you say to those of us?

I would first start right there. What are all these things that you think you need to do, like healthcare, childcare, and all that stuff? I’m not telling you what to do. I’m saying there are other options, and the internet is full of that. Homeschooling, homesteading, getting out of the system, and moving somewhere that’s conducive for healing.

That’s the other thing. Do you want to stay in the matrix and try to heal in here? Maybe you might do better at the beach. Do you need your Netflix? What vehicle are you married to driving? What job are you married to having? Maybe that job is breaking your heart and soul, which is also affecting the mental, emotional, and spiritual aspect of your family. I’m not saying it’s easy to pivot or change, but I’m here to tell you life isn’t easy no matter what. I’m successful. Do you know the way an entrepreneur has success? It’s a big failure. The bigger the mission, the more the failure.

Steve Jobs wanted to put a handheld computer in every man’s hand so he could change the world. Thank you, Steve. I’m doing that job. However, they took that man’s company away from him for ten years. Are you familiar with this story? They took that man’s company away from him and then started another company. It was so successful that Apple came in and bought it. They bought him and had to start working for Apple.

That’s when he made the most successful advertising campaign ever, which was Think Different. You can pull it up online. This is Dream the Impossible Dream. The Wright brothers wanted to fly like an eagle when everybody told them they were nuts. The papers wrote, “Man will never fly.” We don’t think twice. Dream the Impossible Dream. That was the other girl. She was saying, “This construct, and this spell on me. That’s the way it is.”

That led into the question that I had in regard to some of us not having the ability or the freedom to take ten days to go sit in meditation, be an entrepreneur, or work from home and work online. We are the cogs in the machine. That, unfortunately, is where we find ourselves. Those are people who are lucky enough to have jobs.

Some of us don’t have jobs. Some of us are living in supportive housing. Once we’re done with this program, we have to go out and face the real world on our own. My question to you would have been, what would you have said to those people to at least give them some sort of nugget of inspiration or nugget of hope in regards to what you found that works for yourself? What I’m hearing from you is to do the opposite of what you’re doing.

Let’s say this. This is the first chapter in my book, which is Legacy, which is the most important thing. That’s what’s going to guide you ultimately. Where you find that is in your heart, not in your head. Your head has been programmed by the system forever. All the media. If you went to public school, you’re screwed. They want you to give up all your power to whatever programs they set into you. I went to public school as well, but it was different in the ‘70s.

That’s why the mindset is so important. The mind is a powerful tool. We can cut through the fabric of reality. My friend is a motocross champion of the world. He wanted to go faster. He broke world records time and time again. He did things that were impossible. The mind is a powerful tool. It will cut through the fabric of reality. The Wright brothers flew like an eagle, and Steve Jobs put that handheld computer in every man’s hand.

The mind is a powerful tool that can cut through the fabric of reality. Whatever the mind can conceive, it can achieve. Share on X

Everybody told him he was crazy. They took his company away from him. Whatever the mind can conceive, it can achieve. I didn’t say that was easy. It’s impossible, but you dream the impossible dream. What else is there? Take it up the butt with no Vaseline inside the matrix? I’m not going out like that. The first step is mindset. That’s why I broke it down to mindset, movement, and nutrition. You have to wrap your mind around the fact that your children need organic food.

They cannot live on poison. You will have more problems managing them behaviorally as well as physically if you eat the man’s food and then take him to the state-run medical industry. They’re happy when there are sick people. They got more sickness for you, like the whole vaccine schedule and everything. Those things, you don’t have to look very far. I posted about 15 or 16 books on vaccines. If you’re not hip to that, I would read those books. I would read at least one of them to understand that.

Every time you go back to ask the system for help, they get you. I have nothing to do with the system as much as possible. God bless it. I don’t want to fight the system. I’m a California refugee. I left California, which I love, because they turned that place into a dump during COVID. It wasn’t safe for my children. Do the best you can. Figure out what your heart desires, not how your head is going to figure it out. Figure out what your heart desires, and then go in that direction. That’s part of your life’s path and your soul’s path. Through the process of overcoming that like an entrepreneur, you will become the person you are here to become.

Complete Life Overhaul: Building New Habits In Recovery

This is one of the things that I tell everybody. When you get sober, everything has to change. New eating habits, new sleeping habits, and new exercise habits. You pray and meditate. You start doing a gratitude list. New friends, new hobbies, and new interests. AA was where I built my foundation. In my first couple of years, I went to 1 or 2 meetings a day. I went to the meeting before the meeting. I went to the meeting after the meeting. I sponsored guys. I called my sponsor every single day. That became my life. That was what I did.

I spent time with people that had what I wanted, people that are living the life that I want to live, and people that are doing the things that I want to do. That’s what worked for me, and that’s what I’ve seen work for other people. When I see people say, “I want to go hang out with my old friends,” it doesn’t work. The path of least resistance is to go back to doing what you were doing, which is going to lead you back to the life that you were living. If you want something different again, it’s not easy, but it’s not rocket science either. It’s like, “Where do I want to be? What’s going to help me get there?”

The pendulum swings both ways. That’s why you want to get your mindset first. You don’t want to start changing all these things in your life. It may take time. Also, there’s a certain part of you that needs to accept some of the things that were said here, or it needs to make sense. If it doesn’t make sense or you can’t implement it into your life, throw it away. It has no ballast in reality if you can’t make it a reality in your life.

If it makes sense, things start to show up in your life like, “That guy talked about that. The farmer’s market’s not far from here. Let me go down there and see what this is all about. Let me start paying attention to more of what I’m putting into my body.” The whole navigation of the food supply is a nightmare. You have to eat meat and veggies directly from the farm. No dairy, gluten, soy, or corn. That’s hard to navigate if you’ve never navigated that before.

It’s step by step. The mindset first, and then the more it makes sense. Eventually, you might realize, “I’m not going to raise my kids in the city. I’m going to find a farm or an area that I can go to that is more conducive for living as opposed to being an automaton in a system that’s destroying me and destroying you,” and making that decision.

I was trying to be gentle and polite about how nothing that you said made sense to me. I was trying to find value in what you were saying and, hopefully, for other people also to hear if we weren’t able to necessarily have everything that we would want to make us better, how we could at least start or what could give us something to think about. Not all of us can go live off-grid or have the ability to drink our own urine and cure leukemia. I was trying to find some value in what you were saying.

What stood out to you the most of anything that has been said?

You were speaking about the biological fundamentals of the human body, which are all based in science and are all based in the balance of your own biological system and everything that’s coming at us from being in the womb. You are absorbing everything that your mother is absorbing when you’re in the womb, and then you’re born into a world that is polluted, unfortunately. We cannot escape that.

Throughout your life, you have to grow up and make conscious decisions to help yourself, but we are not all taught that from the get-go. Some of us have to learn that the hard way. With all of that being said, it is still very much based in science. Then, you pivoted and said that pharmaceuticals are here to get us stuck, and you can cure leukemia with drinking your own urine.

I didn’t say that.

It was referenced.

Someone else wrote me that. I’m not here to make medical claims whatsoever. You can get thrown in jail for stuff like that.

You also mentioned not being vaccinated and that all of that was manufactured. I was trying to find value in what you were starting with and that I was understanding. I get the balance, the yin and yang, movement, nutrition, and sleep. That makes perfect sense. When it pivots to the antithesis of what you started with, that’s where you lost me. I was trying to be polite and gentle in trying to engage in a conversation about what exactly we can take from this if we don’t necessarily agree with your entire viewpoint.

Let me ask you a question. What do you want in your life?

We’ve got to wrap this up. If I can speak to this, what I would say is if there are 1 or 2 things that you took from this conversation, that’s it. Implement that. If there’s 1 or 2 things that you can implement or 1 or 2 things that you can take action on, even if it’s breathing, was that valuable? Take that. You don’t have to agree. We don’t have to agree with everything somebody else says. We can disagree with all of it but one thing. Take the one thing.

I’m not saying people should vaccinate or not vaccinate. I’m saying my children weren’t. I did take a DTaP vaccine for my child because they scared the crap out of my ex-wife when we were at the hospital. I’ve been neurologically messed up ever since in my lower extremities. I’ve had to work through that. I started doing Pilates. It was one of the first things that helped me.

Those are anecdotes. Those are stories. That’s experience. Those children have never been touched, and I’m so grateful because they are the most thriving. All the information that’s trying to be buried about the Amish children, which is going on in real-time, and you can find it on Twitter, the government is coming after them. The Amish are ready to leave Pennsylvania. They’re trying to peg the whole measles thing on them. This is part of the misinformation and disinformation campaign. RFK wrote about this in The Wuhan Cover-Up: And the Terrifying Bioweapons Arms Race, but most people don’t read.

They can use an audiobook.

I want to make sure that people understand my point of view because it’s very dangerous with all the programming that we have. People can throw you in jail for medical malpractice for stuff like that. I’m telling my personal experience. The best thing for you is what does your heart desire? What is it that you desire for your life?

Do you want me to answer that?

Correct.

I personally would like to not hurt myself. That’s where I’m at.

Finding Inner Peace And Aligning With Natural Laws

Did the talk around balance help you a little bit with the breathing?

No.

The breathing didn’t help?

No. That’s why I was trying to ask what you could at least leave us with? Maybe someone didn’t take away any of that. What could you have left us with as far as something to implement?

Tell me your name.

Stephanie.

Thank you. Your inquisitiveness is a good place to be. The basis of my work is to simplify basic fundamental principles. Meaning, you can’t have this without that. You are mostly water. It’s a good idea to get unpolluted, pure water into your body. You are made up of the earth and your microbiome. That’s all from the closed organic life cycle. It’s a good idea to get as much unpoisoned food into your body as possible. Your body heals itself when you sleep. It’s a good idea to sleep and have good circadian hygiene.

Science caught up to nature, not the other way around. Science is the methodology of observation. It’s not some written religion, and that’s the way it is, because 2/3 of all Nobel Prizes get overturned within ten years. Science evolves as we evolve. We get stronger microscopes, telescopes, etc. Most of what’s in science is theory and hypothesis.

You breathe 25,000-plus times per day. Is it a good idea to have the tongue on the roof of the mouth, breathe through the nose and out through the nose, and open up your diaphragm? This is basic physiology. The sun is the source of all life on the planet Earth. That’s where your vitamin D comes from. If you know anything about that hormone, you know that it governs everything else as well. Is it a good idea to get some sunshine?

Sunscreen has all these carcinogens. There are these massive reports coming out that sunscreen is causing cancer, not the sun. I haven’t worn sunscreen for decades, and I get hours in the sun every day for decades. I’m presenting basic fundamental truths and anecdotes of application, not reams of research bias and skewed data. One of Bill Gates’s favorite books is How to Lie with Statistics. Have you ever heard this before?

About his book? No.

You can find it on the internet.

I do understand what you’re saying, though, based on the title.

This is the world we live in. If you’re in the industry and make a profit off of people’s sickness, then you can skew the data. That’s this whole programming around following the science. Did everyone see Anthony Fauci up in front of Congress when he pleaded the Fifth? This is all science. Back to what your heart desires, you’re probably going to want health and peace with you and your family.

You don’t necessarily want a new car and a house. You want peace. Most people at the heart level want peace. They want harmony. They want love for their children. You want peace inside of yourself. This is what we’re after. We’re not after happiness. We’re after peace. You find peace within the balance, the yin and the yang, the inhalation, the exhalation.

We find peace within the balance inside of your body, inside of how your blood flows, etc. If we have these external contaminations, it’s going to stunt the way your blood flows, the rhythm and flow in your lymph, your biochemistry, your hormones, your estrogen, the xenoestrogens, and the plastics. All this has an effect on the body. At the core level, I postulate that you probably want peace and harmony in your life.

That would be right. I appreciate your patience with my questions and for explaining your viewpoint. Thank you.

Thank you, Stephanie.

Thanks, Stephanie. Where can people find you? How can they connect with you? How can they learn more about you?

CertifiedHealthNut.com. They can find me on YouTube. I’m an original YouTuber @CertifiedHealthNut. I have stickers here for anybody that wants them. I do have an account on Twitter. It’s @MrHealthNut. I’ll put together a link for you guys to download the digital book if that’ll help you. I’ll probably give you guys the audio as well.

It’s written like a novel. Only 10% of people who buy books read them. I wanted to write it with the anecdotes of my story being incarcerated as a youth, my journey through the modeling industry, and working in the Amazon. There are some good stories in there. At the end of each chapter are the Nine Pillars of Health, which are the immutable laws and the foundation principles.

Do you guys like that?

Yes.

Give it up for Troy Casey.

Thank you.
