As people leave treatment, one of the primary ways that they continue to make progress in recovery is by attending 12-step meetings and getting a sponsor. Right now, if anyone is going to be attending a 12-step meeting, its online. While that might help, it doesn’t have the same effect as being in person. Because of the quarantine, clients are being deprived of the following:

  • 12-step meetings
  • Sponsor
  • Community
  • Accountability

At Camelback Recovery, we believe that community is the opposite of addiction. Isolation, which is being forced upon society by the quarantine right now, does not support a recovery lifestyle very well. That is why we have systems set up already to fight against isolation in our homes.

  • In-house meetings
  • Recovery coaching services (still available)
  • Community in the home with other residents
  • Accountability with each other and from house managers

Recovery coaching is available as an additional level of support for our residents and anyone else who needs support during these times. Please reach out and let us know if you have anyone in mind who could use recovery coaching!
