Chris Newman has dedicated his career to creating compassionate, effective treatment programs that help individuals and families heal from mental health challenges, trauma, and addictions.

Chris has been sober since September 1, 2009, and his personal journey in recovery continues to fuel his passion for helping others. He began working in the behavioral health field in 2010 as a behavioral health technician while completing his education as a substance abuse counselor. Over the years, he has served as a counselor, interventionist, admissions leader, and Director of Admissions before co-founding Camelback Recovery’s treatment center in 2022.

## Dr. Michael Major, NMD

#### Regenerative Medicine

Dr. Michael Major, NMD, As a Naturopathic Medical Doctor, I have empathetically chosen to gear my practice towards health optimization through regenerative medicine, while focusing on endocrine protocols and regenerative injection therapies.

[More Info](#)

×### Michael Major - Regenerative Medicine

**The first patient I ever treated was myself.**

I did what doctors at Johns Hopkins Medical Hospital would not do; I found the cause of my adult onset epilepsy. Following a decade long career as a pilot in the United States Marine Corps, I was diagnosed with epilepsy by neurologists at the renowned Johns Hopkins. The diagnosis came after having seizure number two of the more than 20 that I would have over a nine-month period. **Being unsatisfied with pharmaceutical intervention that turned my brain off**, I researched and found physiological causes of seizures, applied what I had learned, and stopped them from happening literally overnight. That experience drove me to naturopathic medical school and thus a profession that I was always meant to be a part-of.

As an athletically inclined male, **I aged with aches and pains through my twenties and thirties because I did not understand the human body’s natural laws.** I was living a lifestyle that has been commercialized and sold as being healthy, but when truth be told, it was feeding my pain and accelerating my physiological age. As a Naturopathic Medical Doctor, I have empathetically chosen to gear my practice towards health optimization through regenerative medicine, while focusing on endocrine protocols and regenerative injection therapies.

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Baker University (KS), a Master of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology (OH), and for medical school, I graduated from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (AZ).

**Credentials**:

- Naturopathic Medical Doctor, licensed to practice medicine in the state of Arizona.
- 2016 graduate of Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM).
- Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Baker University (KS) •Master of Science in Aeronautical Engineering from Air Force Institute of Technology (OH)
- Undergraduate extra-curricular activities include participation in varsity college football, being an active member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, Reserve Marine Corps training.
- Post-undergraduate career as a tactical fighter pilot in the United States Marine Corps
- Post-graduate career as a government contractor for Naval Air Systems Command
- Medical practice has focused on hormone optimization, regenerative injections, nutrient IVs, aesthetics, and has expanded to nootropic therapies.

**Modalities to be focused on at APTH:**

•**Hormone optimization:** Living in a fast pace society leads us vulnerable to fatigue. The hormones that our adrenals produce hold the drive to our physical and mental performance. Getting those hormone levels optimized is not only a youthful feeling but also aids in an anti-aging state.

•**Nootropic therapies:** Now is a great time to benefit from intravenous and supplemental therapy that gives us peak mental performance and protection against age related mental decline.
These therapies will give the body and brain the fuel it needs to think clearly and optimally without the consequence of overstimulation.

•**Regenerative therapies:** The human body has an amazing ability to heal itself. Prolotherapy is a form of regenerative injection that directs our body’s own healing mechanisms to a focused area. The treatments can replace palliative therapies such as cortisone injections and saves us from unnecessary surgeries.
